Sum
41
Hi
everyone. Today, I’m going to talk about Sum 41
Sum 41 is a Canadian pop-punk band which formed in
summer of 1996. Their group name means ’41 days in the summer’ because the
members of band are from several local high school bands and they gather up all
together 41days into the summer of 1996. The Band consists of Deryck Whibley Bizzy D-
lead vocals, guitar, keyboard/piano, Dave Baksh Brownsound-lead guitar and
backing vocals, Jason McCaslin-bass and backing vocals, Steve Jocz-drums and
backing vocals. They launched their first EP album in 2000 named ‘Half Hour of
Power’. They got 2012 54th Grammy award for the best hard-rock band
and metal performance award.
However in 2006, Dave Baksh got out of the band.
According to him, the reason of he got out of the band is he want to try out
metal in other band. In my o
pinion Dave Baksh got out of band
not because of he want to try out metal in other band. At that moment, Sum 41’s
style was almost similar with metal and they are one of the best in rock-punk
music. I think Dave Baksh got out of the band because of having trouble with
members in Sum 41 or oth er reason that he can’t speak in
public. I also think that Sum41 is quite amazing band because although Dave
Baksh got out of the band, rest of member stick together and now they became 3
men successful band.
My favorite song is ‘Over My Head’.
‘Over my head’ is a song about having trouble in love relationship. I suggest
people to listen this song whenever they have trouble or having headache
because of love relationship. I pretty sure that this song will help to remove
stress when you are in that kind of situation.
